The challenges to wildlife persistence are becoming increasingly severe year after year.

The global threat posed by the climate crisis with its alarming rise in temperatures, which causes wildfires and changes in ecosystems.

Subsistence economies, in which bushmeat hunting, illegal logging, slash and burn practices and harvesting of plant resources for medicinal uses, all pose a threat to the persistence of intact and healthy forests.

The rising human populations, especially in developing countries, with associated urban expansion, increased pollution, large-scale habitat degradation, and conversion of natural areas into agricultural land. Urgent and concrete action is needed to counter all these factors and protect wilderness around the world.

By becoming a member of Wildlife Initiative you will make a concrete contribution to save our species!

Your contribution goes directly to cover expedition and fieldwork costs in Mongolia, Congo and Namibia. The data collected will increase our understanding on the ecology and the conservation status of many charismatic and endangered species. Wildlife Initiative’s efforts are directed to the preservation of Pallas’s cats, snow leopards, lions, common leopards, elephants, cheetahs and several many other species! Additionally, our conservation programs actively engage local communities, which greatly increases chances of lasting and sustainable success.

You will be informed monthly on the progress of our activities through our newsletters, and daily through social networks!

Feel free to contact our team by email or call, to talk about our species, the threats they face and what we are concretely doing to protect them!
